Most of the target businesses are early stage, and have proved the business concept, but the profits are not there. Working capital is designed to cover the cash shortfall until the business can sustain itself. This can be in the form of a loan or an overdraft.

Working Capital finance is distinct from equity investment. Lenders will invest only where they see a clear path to repayment of the loan, based on current or pending profits
